The Private pilot certificate is the most sought certificate, and the first step toward a career as a professional pilot. It allows you to fly almost anywhere in the United States, both during the day and night, and carry as many passengers as your plane is legally allowed. You’ll learn airport operations, aircraft systems, airspace, radio communication, required maneuvers and more; everything you need to know to safely fly your friends and family!
Cloudy weather has you grounded? Open a whole other world of flying with an Instrument rating (IR). The IR certification allows you to fly in inclement weather that might otherwise keep you on the ground, plus it makes you an all-around safer pilot!
If you already have a Private certificate and want to be financially compensated to fly an aircraft, a Commercial certificate is required. It allows you to be paid for flights as a pilot, transporting passengers and cargo, aerial surveying, air tours, flight instruction, firefighting, search and rescue, and the list goes on and on!
Want to fly further, faster, and higher? Then the Multi-engine rating could be for you! Multi-engine rated pilots will enjoy increased aircraft performance as well as improved power, speed and rate of climb.
The Certificated Flight Instructor certificate allows you to sit in the right seat and share your passion for aviation with others. It can be a fantastic career on its own, or it is a great way to get paid to fly while building hours toward a career flying for charter, corporate or the airlines.
